If you enjoy listening to military music this is a “must hear and see” performance. Nothing better than a marine band concert with both the Quantico Marine Band and the Royal Marine Band..
These two military bands will have your chest swelling with pride as you listen to patriotic music played by proud and extremely talented Marine musicians.
As an additional reason to attend the concert will be held on the parade deck of the National Museum of the Marine Corps. The displays at the museum begin at the birth of the Corps in 1775 and follow the life of Marines to the present. There are interactive galleries of every major conflict in which US Marines participated beginning with the Revolutionary War to the present. It has rapidly become one of the most popular attractions in tht National Capital Area. Click on the link above to learn more about the museum. The museum spire depicts the flag raising on Mount Suribachi at Iwo Jima during World War II.
Consider spending a day at the museum, having dinner at the Globe and Laurel in Stafford and returning for the concert.
