Wellington, Manassas VA Homes For Sale and Real Estate Guide

Wellington is an extremely convenient subdivision in the City of Manassas, VA.  Since construction started in the 1992-1993 time frame there are no homes more than 18 years old.  Its’ popularity is enhanced by the fact it is a beautifully maintained subdivision of both town homes and detached homes.  Wellington has slightly more than 900 homes built by a variety of builders.

Commuting

  • Bus service to both the Pentagon and Washington, DC is available at Manassas Mall approximately 15 minutes from Wellington
  • Train service to Alexandria and Washington on Virginia Railway Express trains is available at the Manassas  station.  The Alexandria and Crystal City stations provide the ability to transfer to Metrorail for travel throughout the entire subway system.

National Museum of the Marine Corps Opening New Galleries June 5, 2010

On Saturday June 5, 2010 the National Museum of the Marine Corps will open three new galleries adding 12,000 square feet of inteactive exhibits. It will include 250 new artifacts not displayed previously

  • The founding of the Corps during the Revolutionary War era.
  • Civil War and the 19th century international trade expansion
  • World War I which will include an interactive exhibit in a forest during the Battle of Belleau Wood and will include a German machine gunner on one side and the Marines charging on the other (more…)
